In June 2025, the University also obtained a unitary patent, extending the legal protection of the invention to most European countries (including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, and Sweden).
A European patent granted by the EPO has particular importance for the evaluation of scientific activity quality – under criterion one, the University receives 100 points.
